Poetry has always been an essential part of Kottavei's life. As a professional artist, this art form could not be passed by. She was enticed by both the complexity and simplicity of words. Writing became a place of solace and release. The traditional Japanese form of poetry, haiku, appealed to her senses because of it's abbreviated format of using 5-7-5 syllables to create a poem. Simply seventeen syllables to make a point, create a stir, punctuate a moment and also reference nature. A very similar format is senryu which follows the same format as haiku but appeals to the human spirit. Filled with art and poetry by Kottavei, mentalcourse: modern erotic senryu is a sensual path winding through the stages of knowing one's erotic self.
Kottavei is Lady Dragonfly Publishing's newest author. The author has created a wonderfully crafted and artistic blend of art and poetry in her book of authentic Haiku and Senryu which captures the sensuality in nature and human nature. Art and creativity tends to capture the essence of women, girls and couples. The simplicity of a spare moment taken completely out of any specific context.
